‘Reset’ to participate in Grand River fest in Canada

Iranian filmmaker Mohammad-Reza Lotfi’s feature film ‘Reset’ has made way into the 2022 annual Grand River Film Festival (GRFF) in Canada.

Iranian filmmaker Mohammad-Reza Lotfi’s feature film ‘Reset’ has made way into the 2022 annual Grand River Film Festival (GRFF) in Canada.

Produced by Seyyed-Amir Seyedzadeh, ‘Reset’ will participate in the main competition section of the 14th edition of the Canadian screening event.

‘Reset’ is a film dealing with challenges facing individuals and their personal space.

A brief snippet of the film says, “I think I have gone crazy… I have developed a phobia of sorts towards all of these cameras that are controlling us… I have gone so deep into this matter that I feel as if there is someone behind each camera… Someone who is watching my every move.”

Starring in the film are Reza Behboudi, Soudabeh Beyzaee, Mohammad Sediqi, Hamed Rahimi, Parisa Mohammadi, and Roqiyyeh Afshinpour.

‘Reset’ was previously screened at the 21st Aporia International Village Film Festival in South Korea, the Metropolis Film Festival (MFF) and the 4th Festival del Cinema di Castel Volturno, both in Italy.

The movie was also premiered at the 38th edition of the Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

The Grand River Film Festival (GRFF) hosts both “an annual festival and year-round film programs dedicated to bringing bold, reflective and inspiring films to Waterloo Region,” according to the event’s official website.

The film festival is scheduled to take place on May 11-15, 2022.
